What do you love most about what you do?
I love hearing that I’ve made a customer’s day. Some people are lonely and like to talk, it’s nice to be there for them.
What surprised you when you joined EE?
The atmosphere, I felt it from my first day. The vibe is really energetic and fun. I love that I am able to be myself. Conversations aren’t scripted and it’s nice and informal. Customers say they feel like they’re talking to a friend.
Describe your manager in three words.
Hilarious. Super caring. Honest. That’s four!
What makes you happy about coming to work?
What makes me happy is that I see the difference I can make to my customers. I like to think I make their work life happier too.
Your most memorable customer?
A celebrity who appeared on I’m a Celebrity rang up to ask why his phone bill was unusually high. I had to tell him that it was up because of phone calls made from Australia while he was there for I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
Who’s your biggest idol?
Lady Gaga without a doubt. She’s out there. She doesn’t care about criticism. She’s had a lot of personal pain and she performs through it. I love her for that.
Who’s your EE BFF?
My fellow managers, Lee and Michael. We call ourselves the 3 musketeers. We’re friends as well as colleagues, we have each other’s backs - and we can take the mick out of each other!
What’s the biggest perk?
Working for EE there are loads of benefits. I was lucky enough to walk the red carpet at the BAFTAs. I got to meet Orlando Bloom! Lee and I had a competition to see who could get the most likes on photos of us wearing a tux. I won!
Quick, favourite colour…
Khaki – it goes with everything.
What happened on your best day ever?
I got promoted to team leader. I’d been working towards it while studying Criminology at Northumbria Uni. I graduated and got promoted so my hard work was well worth it!
What’s the greatest thing you’ve ever done for a customer?
A lady called up and was struggling to pay her bill, as she’d just had a baby. We sent her a baby box with nappies and things to help her with the baby. It was great to give that personal touch.
What’s your biggest weakness?
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
What do you love most about working for EE?
There’s always something different going on. A lot of jobs are quite samey. Here, you walk through the doors and you never know what’s about to happen. It's a real buzz.
Where is your happy place?
Where I got married, in the Lake District. I love the peace and quiet and the home cooked country food
Describe your role in three words.
Results. People. Service.
