EE named top employer for school & college leavers 2016-17

EE triumphed in three categories at’s Top 100 Employers for School & College Leavers 2016-17 Awards, ranking #4 in Top Advanced Apprenticeship Employers, #5 in Top 100 Employers for School & College Leavers and taking the award for Best Company Culture. 

Decided by surveys completed by apprentices and school leavers from 100 UK organisations, it provides a great reflection of EE’s continued success in developing young people. As well as highlighting the positive experiences of our trainees, it’s an achievement that will help others to recognise the amazing career opportunities at EE.

EE in Scotland, including its retail stores and it’s Contact Centre in Greenock, has achieved the prestigious Investors in Young People Silver Accreditation, the only people management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.

This represents a true commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates EE as an employer of choice for young people and testament to their effective practices around Youth Employment.


EE were named Macro Employer of the Year at the Apprenticeship Awards Cymru 2015. The award celebrates the outstanding achievements of our employees at the Merthyr Tydfil Contact Centre in Wales, who have shown unmistakable commitment to the improvement of skills development for the Welsh economy. 

EE formed a partnership with Merthyr Tydfil College to develop a programme to support both business retention and recruit young people from the area. We know that developing skilled young people is vital for our economy and this award highlights EE’s dedication to apprentices in Wales and across the UK.

At EE, all our employees are given plenty of scope to make an impression on the wider world. For example, here's one of our lovely teams volunteering last month at Darlington South Park. Everyone who works for us gets two days' leave to volunteer. We also offer avenues of support for fundraising that include a fund-matching scheme and the chance to support charities through our award-winning Payroll Giving scheme.
It may be a cliche but, there is no “I” in Team, but there is “U” in Volunteer. Give us a hand:
