Young apprentice in store

We want our customers to enjoy an exceptional experience, wherever they choose to shop with us. Our Apprenticeship scheme is designed to teach you how to become a top-class Retailer. Over the course of 15 months you’ll learn how to wow customers, sell our range of products, deliver outstanding service and work as part of a busy, close-knit team. We’ll provide you with all the training you need to kick-start a cracking career at EE. Plus you’ll gain a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification while earning a full apprentice salary.

After completing your Level 2 qualification, you’ll have the chance to continue to grow into your role as a permanent Customer Advisor with one of the biggest names on the high street.

We recruit apprentices at different points throughout the year. You can search current opportunities by clicking here and selecting ‘Retail Apprenticeships’. Or you can register to receive a job alert when new vacancies open by clicking here and selecting ‘New Talent’ in the ‘Job Category’ field.

Who better to tell you about the opportunities available than a recent Apprentice – Kazeem Taiwo – and our CEO – Marc Allera? Hear what they have to say.

Your Journey starts here

Month 1

In your first week, you’ll undertake a comprehensive induction at one of our offices, where you’ll meet your manager and pick up some key skills. After that, you’ll start in your store, meet your team and be given a buddy to help you settle in.

“I have moved from Apprentice to Senior Advisor. I aspire to become an Assistant Manager, and then hopefully a Manager. The sky’s the limit.”
Kazeem Taiwo, Senior Advisor.

Month 2

With the support of your buddy, you’ll continue to learn about EE products and services also using your time to access our online learning site. You’ll also meet your assessor and attend your first training session. Your sales target will also be increased.

Months 3 - 5

You’ll receive ongoing feedback from your support team, which will include your assessor and team manager. Each month you’ll attend a training session and have a face-to-face catch up with your manager. Your sales target will increase month on month – up to 100%.

Months 6 - 8

You’re halfway through your training, so your manager will conduct a review – measuring your performance against your targets and seeing how you’ve developed.

Months 9 - 11

Over the next few months, you’ll work with your team and manager to fine tune the specific skills you need to ensure you’re selling the EE way – creating offerings that are tailored to our customers’ specific needs. Your sales target will stay at 100%.

Month 15

Graduation! If you’ve successfully completed your Level 2 qualification, you’ll be ready to take the next step in your career.

Congratulations! You’re now a permanent Customer Advisor.

You’ll continue to deliver great service to our customers as a permanent Advisor.

If you’re aged 16 or over and no longer in full-time education, you’re eligible to apply for an EE Apprenticeship.

Age might not be a factor, but we should make it clear that the scheme is designed for those with limited work experience and is focused on helping them develop the skills they need to build a successful career.

The most important thing about the process is discovering if you’re right for us and if an EE Apprenticeship is right for you. That’s why we’ve created a recruitment process that helps us discover everything we need to know about each other.

Once you’re ready to apply, the first thing you’ll need to do is complete an application form and a short online questionnaire. The test should only take 20-30 minutes and is designed to find out if you could thrive as an EE apprentice.

Once you’re through that, there’s a telephone interview where you’ll be asked some questions about why you want to be EE. The process ends at an in-person assessment centre – there you’ll have the chance to speak to current EE employees and show us why you’d be a brilliant EE apprentice.
